HOW TO CONNECT
To connect to our wireless network, you will need to connect to our wireless VPN.
Requirements:
You must be running Windows XP or Vista, Mac OS X v10.2 or later, or Linux RedHat 6.2 or later. You must have 50 MB of hard drive space available, and have at least 128 MB of RAM. Your network card must be 802.11b and/or 802.11g compatible. You must install the Cisco VPN client on your computer to connect to the VPN.
Windows 7, Vista and XP VPN client installation instructions
Please read all instructions before downloading the client.
1. Click here to download the VPN Client or click here to download the 64-bit VPN Client. You will need to enter your UCA and password.
2. Select Run.
3. Click Next.
4. Select “I accept the license agreement”. Click Next.
5. Click Next when prompted for a Destination Folder.
6. Click Next on the Ready to Install screen.
7. Wait while the installation process finishes.
8. Click Finish when the “Cisco Systems VPN Client 5.0.06.0160 has been successfully installed” message appears. When prompted to restart your computer click Yes.
9. After the VPN Client has been installed you can connect to the FSU wireless network.
10. Once connected to the FSU wireless network, go to Start > All Programs > Cisco Systems VPN Client > VPN client
11. Select the “FSU Wireless FSU SID” connection entry.
12. Click Connect.
13. Enter “students\yourUCA” in the username field and your UCA password in the password field.
14. Click Connect.

3. Run the VPN Client installer and allow the VPN client to install
4. Run the VPN Client application
5. Click the Import button at the top of the VPN Client window and choose the FSUWirelessVPN.pcf

Connecting to the VPN:
1. Ensure you are connected to the wireless network FSU
2. On Microsoft Windows XP, the VPN client should immediately prompt you for your uca and password
3. If the client does not automatically launch, or if you are not using Microsoft Windows XP, start the Cisco VPN client by locating it under the Start Menu, Cisco VPN Client or under Applications on Mac OS X and then click the Connect button
4. Once you are prompted for your username and password, if you are a student, for username type STUDENTS\uca where uca is your account name. If you are faculty/staff, for username type FAIRMONTSTATE\uca where uca is your account name. Then enter your password and click ok.
5. When you are done, you can right-click the lock icon in your system tray and choose Disconnect, disconnect from the FSU wireless network, or simply turn off your computer
If you already have the Cisco VPN client installed:
These instructions are for users that may be using company laptops
1. Download the wireless VPN profile by right-clicking here and choose Save Target As
2. Save the file to your hard drive, and ensure you choose File Type: All Files
3. Open the Cisco VPN client
4. Click the import button and choose the FSUWirelessVPN.pcf file you saved to your hard drive
