Acceptable Use Guidelines

Never give your password to anyone. Never log in to another user's account. The IT department will never ask for your password.

Your password, hint question and answer should be difficult to guess.

When leaving a public computer, ensure that you are logged out.

Protect the security of your computer. Be cautious when opening attachments, responding to unsolicited e-mail, and allowing others to access your personal files.

If you suspect that your account has been compromised, contact the Teaching & Learning Commons immediately.

Please keep in mind that network resources are limited. Any activity that takes up an unreasonable amount of resources is prohibited.

Users should abide by ethical and legal standards regarding copyright, software licensing and intellectual property.

Users are prohibited from sending mass mailings from user accounts.

Resources should not be used in an obscene, harassing or inappropriate manner.
