Acceptable Use Guidelines

  • Never give your password to anyone.  Never log in to another user's account.  The IT department will never ask for your password.
     
  • Your password, hint question and answer should be difficult to guess.
     
  • When leaving a public computer, ensure that you are logged out.
     
  • Protect the security of your computer.  Be cautious when opening attachments, responding to unsolicited e-mail, and allowing others to access your personal files.
     
  • If you suspect that your account has been compromised, contact the Teaching & Learning Commons immediately.
     
  • Please keep in mind that network resources are limited.  Any activity that takes up an unreasonable amount of resources is prohibited.
     
  • Users should abide by ethical and legal standards regarding copyright, software licensing and intellectual property.
     
  • Users are prohibited from sending mass mailings from user accounts.
     
  • Resources should not be used in an obscene, harassing or inappropriate manner.
