During the week of October 13, IT will be making necessary changes to the email system. Each day, we'll update MyCampus with the changes and likely effects.
IT will be performing important server maintenance this weekend, affecting the following:
Departmental shared drives (M: drive) will be unavailable from 6 p.m., Friday, September 26, 2014, until migration is complete.
U: drives will be unavailable beginning once the M: drive maintenance is complete.
These outages may continue until Sunday, September 28, 2014, at 6 p.m.
No other systems will be affected by this maintenance.
Update: Both systems are available again, as of 6:30.
We are currently experiencing an outage for Blackboard and Big Blue Button. Our hosting provider is aware of the situation, and they are working on the problem. The outage began around 4:05 this afternoon.
IT will post an update here when we have further details.
We experienced a Big Blue Button outage from Friday evening on August 29 through the afternoon of September 2.
If you attempted to save a recording during this time window, there is a chance the recording was lost.
WVNET has made changes to the system to address the problem. Please contact the Teaching and Learning Commons at 304-367-4810 if you have questions.
Due to system maintenance, some web-based services,
including Blackboard, may be intermittently unavailable August 1 and 2.
Update: As of 12:30 a.m., authentication to Blackboard was available again. Other web-based services may experience temporary unavailability through August 2.
We are also experiencing a Respondus outage that affects Respondus, Study Mate, and Lockdown browser. We have a ticket open with the Respondus help desk.
IT will be performing important server maintenance this weekend, affecting the following two systems.
The streaming server will be unavailable from midnight tonight until Saturday at noon. The streaming server stores video and other media used in courses, so those will be unavailable during this period.
FSU email for faculty and staff will be unavailable from midnight Saturday night until noon on Sunday. You will not lose any email, but you will be unable to check email during this time. Student webmail will not be affected.
Blackboard will be unavailable for planned maintenance from 12:01 a.m. this Sunday, July 13, until noon on July 13.

We experienced a partial Blackboard outage on Sunday, May 18, 2014, from approx. 3am to 7:15pm. Not all users were affected during this time.
In order to keep the campus community up-to-date on outages and other issues, we will post an update when we experience Blackboard outages.
Please find below the dates and times of recent outages:
- February 9, 2014, we experienced an outage from approximately 7:30 - 8:15pm.
- February 21-25, 2014, we experienced intermittent outages from approximately 1pm on the 21st to 9:30am on the 25th.
