Hometown:
Vienna, West Virginia
High School:
Parkersburg High School
Why Attend?:

I chose Fairmont State because I like the size of the campus and I was very interested in the Honors Program. I also chose this school because it gives me the chance to cheer and dance again if I decide to.

Most Surprised:

The thing that has surprised me the most is how small most of my classes are. I really thought that there were going to be a lot of students in all of my classes.

Experiences:

I really like the Honors Program so far. I have met a lot of new people within my courses and I also really like living in the Honors dorm. I really hope my suitemates and I will become great friends.

Advice:

I would say choose the school that you like and that best fits you. Don’t let your family, friends, or anyone influence your decision. Just because they like a school doesn’t mean it will be the best match for you in the long run.

Difference between courses:

In high school, my classes were really easy and I never had to study. Most of my teachers just gave us a worksheet that the class would complete in about 15 minutes then the rest of the class was a free period. In my Honors courses there is a lot of studying to do and you really have to pay attention in class which is kind of new to me.
