Hometown:
Three Churches, West Virginia
High School:
Hampshire High School
Why Attend?:

I chose Fairmont State for a couple of reasons.  The first is that it was one of the best schools near where I live for my major, criminal justice.  Also, it was more affordable than many other schools.  In addition, I heard many good things about it from my brother, who also goes here.

Most Surprised:

I was most surprised by the amount of foreign exchange students attending Fairmont State. I had no idea that FSU was so well-known.

Experiences:

I have had a great time in the honors program so far.  Most of my teachers are enthusiastic and interesting.  I think that all of them would be easy to approach and ask questions. Most of the students are the same way.

Advice:

They should begin by picking the best schools that offer their desired major.  Then they should consider things such as cost, distance from home, etc.  Another important factor is simply to choose a place where they will have fun and be successful.

Difference between courses:

The main difference between my honors courses here and at my high school is that the courses here are actually on an honors level.  The honors classes at my high school were exactly the same as the regular classes.
