Hometown:
Elkview, West Virginia
High School:
Capital High School
Why Attend?:

I enjoyed the scenery - the overall feel of campus. I felt the campus size was a perfect fit for me. But most importantly, I like the personal connections with the teachers as opposed to big schools like WVU.

Most Surprised:

The sheer amount of freedom overwhelmed me. Due to how I raised, I never had a lot of spontaneity in my life. Here, I feel like I can participate in a lot more activities with friends and classmates.

Experiences:

My experience has been great thus far. There is always something to do, and everybody has been very kind and accepting towards me and my fellow underclassmen.

Advice:

I would say to go where you are happiest - Fairmont has a lot to offer, so please don't cross it off your list. Give the school a try and see if it fits. This can be said with any school you are considering.

Difference between courses:

My Honors courses require a great deal of personal initiative and dedication. The work is constantly on your mind, and you have to check online frequently for any new class material.
