Hometown:
Grafton, West Virginia
High School:
Grafton High School
Why Attend?:

I chose Fairmont State because I was really impressed with the fact that it’s a small, peaceful community. The atmosphere here really drives you to want to learn more, especially with the helpful professors that teach here. Plus, you can walk anywhere on campus in a matter of minutes.

Most Surprised:

The most surprising thing that has happened since I’ve been here is that people really welcome you with open arms.

Experiences:

The honors program is a great program and I love being in it already. Everyone is on the same intelligence level as you are, and nobody is afraid to learn. Also, there are special activities for the honors students, so you really feel like a part of something.

Advice:

My advice to seniors in college is to pick the school that fits you the best. Don’t go to a school just because your parents really want you to or because that’s where your boyfriend or girlfriend is going. In the end, the decision is yours, and you have to live with the choices you make.

Difference between courses:

Honors classes in college are about the same as the ones I took in high school. They push you to do better, making you give 105% in whatever you do.
