Welcome All
Thanks for visiting Under STAND

Materials Being Recycled on Campus

  • Plastics #1 and #2
    • Check the bottom of your container for a recycling symbol (like the one in the top, right-hand corner of this page) with a number in the middle. If this number is a 1 or a 2, it can be placed into the hallway bins on campus. Other numbers (3 through 7) cannot be recycled in our area and, therefore, cannot be placed into the hallway bins on campus.
  • Clear and Brown Glass
    • Any brown or clear glass bottle may be placed into the hallway bins on campus. For other glass products, email STAND at the address below.
  • Office Paper
    • Office paper is any white or colored paper. If printed on or if it contains staples or tape, the paper can still be recycled.
  • Newspaper and Magazines
    • Any newspaper or magazine may be placed into the hallway bins on campus. This category also includes glossy paper or any other closely similar materials.
  • Cardboard
    • Cardboard is collected regularly at food service and the bookstore in the Falcon Center. However, if any faculty or staff member has a large amount of cardboard stored for recycling, the Physical Plant can pick up this cardboard. They can be reached at x4401.
