Rugby Football Club
Rugby is an exciting game that is played worldwide and players rely on fitness, ball handing, kicking and tackling.
The Fairmont State University Rugby Football Club (FSURFC) is open to both new and inexperienced players as well as experienced players. Generally most collegiate rugby players have never seen the game before let alone played it and rugby players come in all shapes and sizes. Therefore, everyone is always welcome to come out and give it a try. FSURFC plays both in the Fall and Spring seasons.
We practice every Monday and Wednesday evening from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. The club is coached by Dr. Greg Noone, the Director of the FSU National Security and Intelligence Program, who has over a decade of competitive experience including two international rugby tours (Ireland 1987 and Europe 1988) and a summer in England (1989).
The only requirements to join the Fairmont Rugby Club are that you are a current FSU student, cleats and a mouthpiece.
