The 2nd annual Blue Jean Ball was held on the Fairmont State campus in Colebank Hall on October 6, 2012. The event was a huge success and fun was had by all who attended.
By enjoying hot apple cider by a campfire, browsing a silent auction, sharing a meal with friends and dancing to music by a local band, those who attend the second annual Blue Jean Ball will be assisting Fairmont State University students.
The FSU Office of Institutional Advancement will host the second annual Blue Jean Ball on Saturday, Oct. 6, at the Colebank Hall gym and patio. The evening will begin with a social hour at 5 p.m. Dinner will be served at 6 p.m. Entertainment will feature live music by the Johnny Freak Band, a local alumni band.
The West Virginia Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America honored Fairmont State University with three awards at its 2012 Crystal Awards Gala, which acknowledges the best work of 2011.
During the event at Edgewood Country Club in Charleston, 16 Crystal Awards and 12 honorable mentions were presented for campaign work. Thirty-nine Crystal Awards and 24 honorable mentions were given for project work. A record number of entries were received for this year’s competition.
