Concert to Benefit FSU Academy for the Arts

A Benefit Concert at 3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 30, in Wallman Hall Theatre will support the Fairmont State University Academy for the Arts.

Admission is $5 and will be collected at the Box Office on the fourth floor of Wallman Hall on the FSU main campus. The Box Office opens at 2:30 p.m. Sunday. Current Academy students receive free admission. The concert will include community and guest performers.

Academy for the Arts Students to Present Recitals

The Fairmont State University Academy for the Arts community students will present their Spring Gala Recitals at noon and 3 p.m. Saturday, May 3, in Wallman Hall Theatre.

The FSU Academy will showcase students from its Art, Music and Theatre Departments during these performances. The Art Preparatory Department students will have their work displayed in the J.D. Brooks Gallery, located on the fourth floor of Wallman Hall throughout the day. 

Heston Farm Winery to Host Music and Dance Performance

Students and faculty members from the Fairmont State University Academy for the Arts will offer a free public performance at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 9, at Heston Farm Winery in Fairmont.

Local students participating in classes through the Music Preparatory Department of the Academy, as well as some faculty members, will showcase their talent on the outdoor stage in voice, piano and guitar. Students range in ages from 5 to 16. The Clogging Team, which is also part of the Academy, will be part of the afternoon performance.
