The Fairmont State University Presidential Search Committee, which is comprised of members of the FSU Board of Governors and Higher Education Policy Commission Chancellor Paul Hill, as ex-officio, has announced the final candidates for the presidency of the University.

Fairmont State University Interim President Maria Rose greets Maj. Gen. James A. Hoyer, adjutant general for the West Virginia Army and Air National Guard, who visited Fairmont State University on Friday, Feb. 24, to tour the Open Source Intelligence Exchange (OSIX).
This fall, Fairmont State University students had an opportunity to be the first student in recent history to have their artwork featured on the University president’s holiday card. Students were asked to submit a drawing, photograph or digital image that they created to appear on the card.
The Faculty Merit Foundation of West Virginia has named Dr. Gregory P. Noone of Fairmont State University as first runner-up for the 2011 Professor of the Year award. Each year the Foundation honors an outstanding faculty member at a West Virginia college or university.
About 250 students will participate in Winter Commencement for Fairmont State University at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, in the Feaster Center. A reception in the Falcon Center will immediately follow the ceremony.
