College of Science & Technology Assists Operation Welcome Home

The Fairmont State University College of Science & Technology used its high technology equipment in support of Operation Welcome Home’s Golf Scramble on Friday, Oct. 18, at Lakeview Resort in Morgantown.

Dr. Anthony Gilberti, Dean of the College of Science and Technology, and Dennis Mitchell, Academic Lab Manager, designed and created 3D composite and wood plaque combinations and donated them to Operation Welcome Home to be used as first, second and third place awards for the winners in each golf tournament category.

College of Science & Technology to Visit 2013 National Scout Jamboree

When thousands of Boy Scouts of America attend the 2013 National Scout Jamboree for the first time at the Summit Bechtel Family National Scout Reserve in the New River Gorge area on July 15-24, they will have the opportunity to learn about science and technology from Fairmont State University.

FSU’s College of Science and Technology is among those participating in the Technology Quest area, which will showcase science and technology. Every Scout unit will have a chance to visit the Technology Quest “Cloud,” where Scouts can participate in multiple activities.
