The Fairmont State University School of Fine Arts is proud to host the second annual West Fork New Music Festival on the University campus on Friday, Sept. 25, and Saturday, Sept. 26. Guest composers and performers from West Virginia, Ohio and Virginia will be in attendance.
The Fairmont State University School of Fine Arts presents the work of artist Michael Loop in his solo exhibition, “Chopped, Dropped and Rolled Back” in the J.D. Brooks Gallery on the fourth floor of Wallman Hall and the outdoor Sculpture Park on campus.
“Chopped, Dropped and Rolled Back” is on display from Aug. 17 through Sept. 18. An exhibition opening and artist lecture is planned for noon Thursday, Sept. 17, in the J.D. Brooks Gallery.
The West Virginia Department of Education and the Arts has awarded a $107,000 grant to the Fairmont State Foundation, Inc., on behalf of Fairmont State University’s Professional Development School Partnership.

About 200 high school juniors will participate in the 2015 Governor’s Honors Academy at Fairmont State University from June 29 through July 19. An Opening Ceremony will take place at 1 p.m. Sunday, June 28, in Gym 1 of the Falcon Center on the main campus.
