Fairmont State University and Pierpont Community & Technical College students, alumni and members of the community interested in employment are invited to attend the annual Job Fair hosted by the Office of Career Services. More than 70 companies and agencies are registered to attend the event. The fair will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 28, in the Falcon Center, Gym 1, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The Office of Student Affairs will present an event on the main campus of Fairmont State University and Pierpont Community & Technical College in commemoration of Black History Month. Piedmont native T.J. Coleman has made it his mission to share the story of Sgt. James Aubrey Stewart and to use the experience to promote racial understanding. He will give a presentation, titled “The Aubrey Stewart Project: Unity Through One Race…The Human Race,” at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28, in Multi-media Room A of the Ruth Ann Musick Library.

The Fairmont State University School of Fine Arts and the Masquers theatre group present “Hush: An Interview with America,” a humorous and heartfelt play for young audiences. Performances will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, March 2 and 3, and at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 4, in Wallman Hall Theatre on the main Fairmont campus. For the fifth consecutive year, the Fairmont State University pottery studio through the School of Fine Arts has hosted students, faculty, staff and alumni to participate in the national Empty Bowls Project, which is an international grassroots, craft-based effort to end hunger.

The Instructor Exchange Ad-Hoc Committee of the Fairmont State University Faculty Senate will host a panel discussion on Environmental Awareness at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 21, in Multi-Media Room A in the Ruth Ann Musick Library. The event will be moderated by Dr. Tad Kato, Chair of the Instructor Exchange Ad-Hoc Committee.
