Multimedia Minis

These short (30 minute) demonstrations cover a variety of technology tools that you can use to enhance you online and instructor-led classes. Held in the Learning Technology Center, the classes are limited to 10 participants.

Recording Audio

In less than 30 minutes, you'll learn how to use a microphone to record your own audio clips that can be put on a CD or incorporated into your online course. We’ll use Microsoft Windows built in Sound Recorder software to record clips.

Creating PDFs

In less than 30 minutes, we'll show you how to convert your Word files or PowerPoint presentations to PDF. Why bother, you say? PDF files retain all of the original formatting, so if you make them available online, they will be guaranteed to print out exactly how you had planned them to be.

StudyMate

In less than 30 minutes, we'll show you how to create nine different study tools that you can put in your WebCT/Vista/Vista online or enhanced class to assist students with learning course content. Tools include a crossword puzzle, flashcards, and a Jeopardy like game.

Creating Streaming Video Using Camtasia

In less than 30 minutes, you'll learn how to use a video cam or tablet pc and microphone to record your own video clips that can be put on a CD or incorporated into your online course. We’ll use Camtasia to create the video files.
