Employee Assistance Program - REACH
A confidential and professional counseling service provided by Fairmont State to help you and your family resolve job-related, personal and family problems. The program is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by calling 1-800-950-3434.

Childcare
Fairmont State offers a Laboratory Preschool for three and four year old children of students, faculty and staff. The classes are half day Tuesday and Thursday mornings 8:30 to 11:00 for three-year olds; and either 8:30 to 11:00 or 12:00 to 2:30 Monday, Wednesday and Friday for four year olds. The preschool is located in the Education Building, Room 124. Call 367-4588 or 367-4846 for more information.

Educational Opportunities
Eligible employees may apply for a FS Graduate Tuition Waiver; contact the Office of Research & Graduate Studies at 367-4684. Also available is a  WVU Graduate Tuition Waiver; contact the FS Associate Provost Office at 367-4101. 

Wellness Program
A workplace wellness program is available for employees and students to make healthy lifestyle choices. Wellness programs held throughout the year. The Falcon Center (the student activity center) offers a fitness area, pool, sauna, whirlpool, all types of fitness equipment, and a 4-lane cushioned track. Information and memberships can be obtained by calling 368-7222.

Annual Employees Benefits and Health Fair
The Benefit Health Fair offers blood tests, health screenings, wellness and benefit information. The Fair is held each April during the PEIA Health Insurance Open Enrollment period.

Athletic and Cultural Events
Full time employees can attend FS athletic events with a valid FS ID card.

Direct Deposit
Direct deposit of your Fairmont State pay check is required for new employees. Deposits to checking and/or savings account of your choice are available.

    Visit the Nickel or the Cafeteria in the Falcon Center. Starbucks Coffee is available in the Library.

    Vision Benefit Discount Plan
    Discounts are offered on eye exams, frames and contact lenses by a group of West Virginia Board Certified optometrists and ophthalmologists (Regional Eye Associates in Fairmont, Morgantown & Kingwood; Spectrum Optical in Morgantown; and Precision Optical in Fairmont and Waynesburg).
