I am the first member of my family to get any kind of college degree. I obtained a B.S. from Purdue University, an M.S. from Washington State University and a Ph.D. from Utah State University. All my degrees are in Animal Science, with a specialization in early embryonic metabolism. I have one amazing daughter, Amanda, was born in 1991. I started at Fairmont State in the fall of 1994 as an Assistant Professor of Biology. I have since been promoted to the rank of Professor and received tenure. I have finished several marathons and hope to do several ultra marathons (30 miles or more) in the future. I love what I do and I hope to continue teaching for a long time!
How to be a better person.
Hopefully my caring and compassion for them as people, and my sense of humor.
