Biography:
Associate Professor Lovett joined the Fairmont State faculty in 1990 and holds Medical Technology degrees from Arizona State University (B.S.) and SUNY Buffalo (M.S.). She is a board certified Medical Technologist through the American Society for Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) and is licensed as a Laboratory Practitioner in the state of West Virginia.
Leslie serves as MLT Clinical Education Coordinator visiting all clinical affiliates periodically to monitor second year MLT student progress. Her teaching responsibilities include: Clinical Chemistry, Lab Math and Instrumentation, Immunohematology, Clinical Serology, Interpretation of Diagnostic Data for the Health Information Technology Department and several MLT and Laboratory Assistant program team taught courses.
Outside of the classroom she is an advisor for the Student Association for Medical Laboratory Technology, serves as membership chair and political action committee chair for the West Virginia Society for Clinical Laboratory Science and is active in many committees on campus. She enjoys the interaction of a two year program, which allows her the opportunity to become personally involved with the students and enjoy their progress and successes during their stay at Fairmont State. Outside of the office she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, racquetball, cooking and traveling.
