AUTHORITY

Fairmont State Police Officers are vested with full law enforcement powers and authority by virtue of West Virginia state law.

Uniformed officers provide 24-hour patrol protection throughout the campus including residence halls, parking lots and other facilities.

The campus is within the city limits of Fairmont and the Fairmont State maintains a close working relationship with City Police.

Officers on duty maintain continuous two-way radio communication with City Police who are quick to respond to our requests for assistance.
