The WVSSEF is affiliated with the ISEF and follows their rules and guidelines. When registering for the fair please be sure to review the checklist of forms to submit. In addition to a Registration Form and Rule Agreement Form, every project application must include an Adult Checklist, Research Plan, Approval Form, and Abstract. *For team projects, please have one student complete the WVSSEF Registration form and all other team members complete the Team Member Registration form.

There is a $20.00 registration fee for each student and a $5.00 registration fee for each chaperon. The registration fee will help cover the cost of lunch and participant t-shirts.
Checks should be made out to FSU and can be included with your application or mailed separately to (please print the name of the student and "WVSSEF" in the memo line):

Notes on Awards:
In order to protect the judges, scores of all projects are kept confidential during, and after, the WVSSEF. No scores will be released following the WVSSEF.
One Grand-Prize Winner (or winning team) will be selected to advance to the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair in San Jose, CA on May 10 - 14, 2010. This will include airfare, ground transportation, lodging (at the San Jose Marriott) and $50.00 per person, per day for food for the participant (or participants in the case of team winners) and one (1) chaperon. The chaperon is to be the adult academic advisor of the winning participant(s). All airfare and lodging arrangements will be made by the College of Science & Technology; all airfare and lodging arrangements made by outside parties without the consent of the College will not be reimbursed. All other expenses (ground transportation, food, and display shipping) will be reimbursed after proof of proper documentation.
All other awards will be in the form of a certificate.
General Information:
There are thirteen (13) categories for entries. It is very important that students select the appropriate category for their projects. Project categories may not be changed once the project arrives at the WVSSEF. The projects must be in one of the following areas:

Fair Date: March 27, 2010
Set-Up: March 26, 2010 from 2:00pm - 5:00pm
Public Display of Exhibits: March 26, 2010 from 5:15pm - 7:15pm
Directions: Maps and Directions
Judging: March 27, 2010; Judging will begin at 9:30 am.
Awards Ceremony: March 27, 2010, 1:00 pm in Room 305 Engineering Technology Building
