OVERVIEW OF POLITICAL SCIENCE PROGRAM
The program in Political Science is designed to give students an understanding of the governmental institutions, the political behavior of individuals and groups, the public programs of modern societies, the interrelationships of various levels of government, and international affairs. Faculty members assist qualified students in securing internship opportunities in national, state, and local government agencies. Eligible students are also encouraged to intern in Washington, D.C. with the Washington Center for Internships and Academic Seminars.
EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES FOR POLITICAL SCIENCE MAJORS
Students completing the B.A. in political science degree may enter public service, journalism, and education careers. Graduates may also continue their studies at the graduate level or enter law school.
