Veterinary Technology Program Goals

• Effectively provide the knowledge needed to prepare graduates to be a vital and contributing member of the veterinary health care team
• Produce graduates who have the abilities to be fully capable of performing in a wide variety of professional roles within the veterinary field
• Ensure that upon graduation, students have attained entry-level skills needed to support companion animal medicine, equine and food animal medicine, biomedical research and other veterinary medical activities
• Offer a curriculum that will provide a foundation that will inspire the student to continue life-long learning
• Teach students to exhibit conduct that reflects practice standards that are professional, ethical and legal

• Have graduates that positively represent the profession and contribute to their communities through education and good communication skills
