OVERVIEW OF GENERAL BUSINESS AND ENTREPRENEURIAL STUDIES PROGRAM

The B.S. in Business Administration general business major is designed to give students a fundamental understanding of the substance and context of business in a world that is highly competitive and dynamic. The Entrepreneurial Studies emphasis is designed to meet the needs of students who are interested in starting their own business.  Students will be given skills that will enable them to analyze the personal strengths and weaknesses relative to launching an entrepreneurial career, prepare a business plan, know how to go about obtaining financial capital for funding entrepreneurial ventures as well as providing an introduction to the legal problems of small business operations. EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES GENERAL IN BUSINESS OR ENTREPRENEURIAL STUDIES

Graduates of the B.S. in Business Administration general business major or the entrepreneurial studies major secure positions in insurance companies, banks, retail businesses, personnel and human resource departments, college or health care administration, government services, and/or manage their own businesses.
