Upon successful completion of this program, students will be able to :

Student performance with respect to this outcome will be measured by:

Satisfactory student performance on the direct assessment measure will consist of:

1.  work collaboratively and responsibly with students, teachers and other professionals to create educational theatre for children and adults according to professional standards and practices    
2. manage and direct students in communication and theatre performance activities (i.e. forensics, debate, plays)

 

 
 3. make performance and production decisions based on the needs of the students, the discipline and the community    
 4. create, deliver and assess instructional units for the communication and theatre classroom based on national and state standards, an understanding of the discipline, student needs, and available resources    
5. employ classroom management skills, sound communication, and professional practices in classroom situations    
6. facilitate and assess meaningful communication and theatre activities that support student learning in a variety of classroom settings

 

 
7. assess student learning, and provide meaningful feedback on student performance (i.e. writing, acting, speaking, and design)

  • Classroom assessment
  • Progressive portfolio Semester 4
  • Assessment Portfolio in Methods
  • Professional Portfolio and exit interview
  • Praxis
