The Project Management Office (PMO) is an organizational unit reporting to Fairmont State’s Chief Information Officer.  It was created to centralize and coordinate the management of projects under its domain, and to advance project management practices throughout the institution.

The PMO focuses on the coordinated planning, prioritization and execution of projects that are tied to the institution’s objectives.  It establishes project management standards for all projects, supports project leaders and project teams with individual project execution and issues resolution, and provides education on project management methods, tools and techniques.
