MISSION:

The West Virginia Child Nutrition Center is a collaborative statewide center for nutrition education and training that advocates nutritional health and wellness for West Virginia's children throughout professional development, partnerships, information dissemination, and other related activities.

  • To provide in-service, pre-service and job enhancement training for school nutrition personnel
  • To provide nutrition, wellness, and food service management resources
  • To develop partnerships with business, industry, and professional groups
  • To conduct and/or coordinate applied aimed at improving the nutritional health and well-being of West Virginia children
  • To create education, training, and promotion programs and materials
