Assessment: From a set of valid appraisal instruments the student will review and select one which best assesses either an individual or community needs for a specific health problem and investigate potential strategies and barriers for its implementation.

Program Design: From a set of five health behavior change theories/models the student will develop health behavior change plans for each of the following: them self, one other “known” individual, a team/group requesting assistance, and a community; these will be completed and presented in literary and graphic formats.

Communication and Technology:

The student will demonstrate the ability to effectively disseminate health knowledge through oral, written and electronic media by developing educational resources in the following forms: experiential activity, brochure, bookmark, flyer, and bulletin board.

Research: Capstone experience – individualized research project in the area of community health/human sexuality: the student will select an approved investigation topic, design a survey, implement it, analyze the data then present findings then discuss conclusions and suggest questions for future research.
